Templestowe
Overview
This four-bedroom house had only one bathroom, so the clients wanted to create an additional bathroom without losing a bedroom. The solution was to reconfigure the laundry and fourth bedroom. The small bedroom next to the master was converted into a luxury ensuite and the large laundry was converted into the fourth bedroom. A European laundry was integrated into the main bathroom with an additional toilet. The second living room on the lower level was given a new ceiling to conceal the amended plumbing and was upgraded to include soundproofing and dimmable downlights.
Kitchen
This dynamic space has been designed with the clients love of entertaining in mind. A flush mounted Frankie glass cook top seamlessly integrates into the Black textured benchtop that is also home to Black Blanco under bench sinks. A black glass splashback reflects light from the skylights and window. A Dualit toaster is a beautiful hero appliance on the bench while all other appliances are carefully stored out of site.
Bathroom
The main bathroom offers a European Laundry cleverly concealed behind tactile veneer doors that match the wall hung vanity. The in wall cistern toilet ensure that the room remain spacious and accommodates for a large walk in shower with frameless screen. A considered use of limited space results aesthetically in a more proportional and functional room.
Ensuite
A freestanding bath has been situated below the large picture window in this ensuite to ensure the view of the mountains can be appreciated from the bath or oversized walk in shower. Rogerseller tapware and marble basin set in a glass benchtop ooze opulence.
The black Fantini Italian shower offers a sublime morning shower. Black floor to ceiling mosaic tiles convey interest and pattern and span the entire wall from the shower and beyond. An oversized mirror ensures that the room is never dark and reflects the Carrara marble basin.
We feel worktop heights should be designed to suit the average height of the people using the kitchen. This is often overlooked so we adjust ours to suit you! Where possible we include deeper benchtops, which are aesthetically more proportional and functional, and allow for an extended working area.
We ensure that we always specify products that are extremely water, heat and steam resistant, and love to use eco timber veneers that convey a strong tactile sensation. We specify doors that open without the need of handles ensuring practicality and clean lines, and where possible specify sustainable materials and finishes.
